Edward Elgar Publishing wins Digital Publishing Award with Elgaronline

We are delighted to announce that Edward Elgar Publishing has received the Digital Publishing Award at the annual IPG Independent Publishing Awards ceremony on the 5th March 2015. Commenting on the award the judges said:

Edward Elgar Publishing scoops this Award after further enhancing its Elgaronline platform in 2014 with the addition of new Research Reviews content. Bolstered by excellent site design and back-end technology, it helped the platform to sharply grow its sales. This is great use of technology” said the judges, who also applauded the way it provided free content to libraries in poorer countries: “That is sensible, creditable and important.”

Tim Williams, Managing Director of Edward Elgar Publishing said:

We are all delighted to win another Independent Publishing Award, this time for Elgaronline our online ebook and journal platform. As an independent publisher, Edward Elgar Publishing has for many years built a reputation for innovation in the research topics and books we publish.  We are therefore delighted that our innovative digital publishing platform has now also been recognised. Elgaronline gives us much greater flexibility in selling and distributing our ebooks to institutions across the world, including through our partnership with EIFL to universities in the poorest countries.  We are pleased the judges highlighted this.

Elgaronline is the digital content platform for Edward Elgar Publishing ebooks, reference titles and journals.  Research Reviews are new digital only ebooks that are exclusive to Elgaronline. For more information please contact Hilary Quinn (hquinn@e-elgar.co.uk)
