In his new book Climate Change and International Trade (recently cited by the IPCC’s 2014 Fifth Assessment Report), Rafael Leal-Arcas examines the interface of climate change mitigation and international trade law with a view to addressing the question: How can we make best use of the international trading system experience to aim at a global climate change agreement?  
In the following interview with  (originally published by the Truman Factor), Rafael explains how his latest book came about, and the value that the ‘law approach’ brings to the climate change debate.
