1. Is it complete? The right version? Check…and check again! Remove contributor access from cloud based/file sharing platforms to keep things simple

2. Complete a Manuscript Submission checklist – you can find the right one for you here: https://www.e-elgar.com/author-hub/preparing-to-submit-your-manuscript/#submissionchecklist

3. Citations count! Early planning now can help disseminate your work and increase its sales later on; keywords in chapter titles help people find your work. To learn more visit https://www.e-elgar.com/author-hub/as-you-write-your-book-or-chapter/#accordion-3

4. Copyright can be complicated. We’ve collected advice, templates and useful links for you here: https://www.e-elgar.com/author-hub/elgar-copyright-policy-your-guide-to-the-essentials/ but if in doubt contact your commissioning editor for advice before you submit

5. Maths, figures, tables, photos, boxes, screenshots – all elements that can add to your work…but only if they’re legible and we can use them. Make sure you read our guidance at https://www.e-elgar.com/author-hub/as-you-write-your-book-or-chapter/. If contributors embed them in chapters ask them to separate them out for you and resend as either eps, png, pdf, jpeg, excel, powerpoint or illustrator files

Good luck and we look forward to receiving your manuscript!
